What’s new in Smilenotes

We've made a number of improvements to Smilenotes to make it easier to use and improve the overall experience.

• Re-designed and clearer client profile, client page, archived notes page and draft notes page.
• Improved design across different screen sizes, making Smilenotes easier to use on phones and tablets.
• Faster and more responsive.
• Fixed an issue preventing search menu from collapsing on creation of a new client.

We've redesigned our Help Centre to make finding tutorials faster and simpler.

• New Help Centre with searchable tutorials and step-by-step guidance.
• Fixed an issue preventing file renaming in the client profile.
• Fixed missing thumbnail images in the “Add files” section of email reminders.

Search is more precise and notes are less likely to be saved unlinked.

• More precise client search to find records faster.
• Notes now require a linked client before marking as finished (can be changed in Settings > Notes management).
• New warning in client profile if you forget to save changes to reduce lost edits.

More security, better collaboration, and improved exports.

• Two-factor authentication (2FA) with the option to enforce 2FA for other users on your account.
• Merge client records to manage duplicates (plus duplicate detection when creating new clients).
• Share treatments and template collections with staff members.
• Appointment diary now remembers last state when you return.
• Easier export of data for a single client.

Updates to the client page, templates, sharing, diary behaviour and linking — plus a booking fix.

• Client page: added a client counter and new search options (by team member, date added, and client ID).
• Note templates: you can now duplicate templates and categories.
• Share note templates: admin users can share template collections with specific staff members.
• Appointment diary: the calendar now remembers which users you show/hide.
• Linking clients: you can re-link notes to a different client.
• Fix: booking a new appointment via the menu in the client profile now works correctly.

• Clinician: can only view notes written by other users with the Clinician role.
