We’d like to share details of some updates we’ve made to Smilenotes to enhance your experience. Over the last few weeks we’ve introduced a number of upgrades. Here is an overview of the things we’ve already done:

ENCRYPTION The method we use to encrypt sensitive data has been upgraded to accommodate our new line up of features. We use the latest industry standard AES technology, (Advanced Encryption Standard) to secure your patient data.

SCA COMPLIANCE  New payment security measures were introduced from 14 September 2019, in response to a change in the law. The new system is called SCA (Strong Customer Authentication), and will apply whenever you make a purchase from any retailer, including Smilenotes. We have recently updated Smilenotes to ensure our compliance with this new system.

New: UPDATE CARD DETAILS We’ve added the ability to change and update your payment card details. This can now be done easily and quickly from the Subscription page.

New: PATIENT DETAILS Our latest upgrade provides additional data fields for recording important details about your clients / patients. All patient data entered into Smilenotes is encrypted both in transit (SSL) and at rest on our servers (AES).

New: MEMO The Memo function is a useful place to keep things like medical details or general notes about patients. Text is encrypted and time stamped however memo notes are not ‘locked’ like clinical notes so you can re-edit them any time.
